The role of a Bartender at Buca di Beppo is vital to the restaurant's success. Job Requirements

High school degree or equivalent preferred
At least two years of bartending experience in a full-service high volume restaurant
Six months of successful experience as a server at Buca di Beppo for internal promotion
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
Must be able to use all sensory capabilities such as vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking
Ability to check identification to verify age requirements
Capability to handle cash transactions accurately
Must follow all safety and sanitation policies
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate positively
Must be able to manage guest interactions professionally including handling excessive drinking
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Warmly greet and pitch your bar guests in a friendly and sincere manner
Effectively merchandise food and beverages in an informative, friendly, and enthusiastic manner
Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
Pre-bus tables, bar tops, and countertops in the bar area
Wipe tables, countertops, bar tops, and seats with dampened cloths, and replace dirty tablecloths
Clean up spilled food, drink, and broken dishes, and remove empty bottles and trash from the bar area
Reset tables, bar tops, and countertops according to company standards
Set tables with clean linens, condiments, and other supplies
Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, and equipment in the bar area
Record orders, place accurate orders, and monitor the timing of the guest experience
Ensure quality food and beverages for guests
Up-sell and suggestive sell at every opportunity
Suggest an appetizer to every guest after receiving their drink order
Prepare high-quality drinks consistently
Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
Work the service bar in a friendly and efficient manner
Limit problems related to customers' excessive drinking by persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering transportation
Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
Present accurate bills, collect proper payments, follow cash handling procedures, and balance cash receipts
Follow the Ten Points of Difference and Guest Standards of Execution
Anticipate and exceed guest expectations
Work as a team using positive communication
Clean, stock, and maintain the bar throughout the shift
Follow all safety and sanitation policies
