Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, handle, and carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Good balance and ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently
  • Ability to stand and maintain mobility for periods up to four hours
  • Effective communication skills with supervisors, employees, and guests

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a customer service or host role preferred
  • Ability to multitask and manage high volumes of guests
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests with a genuine smile and positive attitude
  • Manage the flow of guests by taking reservations and assigning tables
  • Calculate and provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed of table status
  • Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area including the host station and waiting area
  • Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate fair and efficient seating
  • Escort guests to assigned tables and assist with seating arrangements including accommodating special requests
  • Engage with guests to anticipate and respond to their needs and inquiries
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and promotions to inform guests
  • Handle guest complaints professionally or escalate to management as needed
  • Assist in coordinating reservations and managing wait lists
  • Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure outstanding customer service
  • Monitor and manage smooth and efficient table turnover
  • Maintain a professional, polished appearance and adhere to grooming standards
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant
