Job Requirements

Must be able to lift, handle, and carry items up to 50 pounds
Good balance and ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently
Ability to stand and maintain mobility for periods up to four hours
Effective communication skills with supervisors, employees, and guests
willingness to undergo background check

Job Qualifications

Prior experience in a customer service or host role preferred
Ability to multitask and manage high volumes of guests
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly and approachable demeanor
Basic knowledge of restaurant operations
Ability to work collaboratively with team members
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

Greet and welcome guests with a genuine smile and positive attitude
Manage the flow of guests by taking reservations and assigning tables
Calculate and provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed of table status
Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area including the host station and waiting area
Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate fair and efficient seating
Escort guests to assigned tables and assist with seating arrangements including accommodating special requests
Engage with guests to anticipate and respond to their needs and inquiries
Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and promotions to inform guests
Handle guest complaints professionally or escalate to management as needed
Assist in coordinating reservations and managing wait lists
Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure outstanding customer service
Monitor and manage smooth and efficient table turnover
Maintain a professional, polished appearance and adhere to grooming standards
Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant
