Job Description

Dutch Bros Coffee is a vibrant and rapidly expanding coffee company known for its unique culture and strong commitment to community and customer experience. Founded with a mission to love people, make a difference in the community, and provide extraordinary experiences, Dutch Bros stands out as more than just a coffee company — it is a fun-loving and purpose-driven organization. The company’s core philosophy is to "love all, serve all," which guides every facet of its operations and employee interactions. This approach fosters a positive, energetic work environment where team members, or "Broistas," play a vital role as the foundation of the company culture.

Working at Dutch Bros means joining a team that values authenticity, adaptability, and a people-first mindset. Broistas are encouraged to be genuine, enthusiastic team players who support not only their own success but also that of their coworkers and customers. The work environment emphasizes kindness, positivity, and reliability, making it a place where personal growth and community impact go hand in hand. As a Broista, employees get to engage with new people every day, providing each customer with a warm greeting, thoughtful service, and a feeling of special connection.

This customer-facing role involves more than just serving coffee; it's about creating meaningful relationships and embodying the company's core values of speed, quality, and service consistently in every interaction. Broistas help customers navigate the menu, introduce new products and current specials, and ensure that every order is made accurately and with care. This role requires adaptability as team members must be comfortable adjusting to changing circumstances while maintaining a positive outlook and encouraging teammates to do the same.

Dutch Bros Coffee supports its employees comprehensively by offering empowerment through autonomy at work, opportunities to give back with paid volunteer time, and a deep commitment to physical and mental well-being. The company provides access to Employee Assistance Programs and Resource Groups and offers an Education Benefit Program that contributes up to $5,250 per year toward professional development after one year of service. Employees also enjoy celebrating together with company swag, free drinks, and a supportive training program designed to equip them with the skills needed to succeed.

This position is hourly, with compensation up to $23.00 per hour, which includes an average tip of $3.00 per hour, though actual tips may vary based on factors like location, shift hours, and quality of service. Dutch Bros also offers a tips pool for employees who complete training, a 401(k) plan with up to 4% company match, and ensures a fair, transparent work environment adhering to company policies such as those outlined in the "Mafia Manifesto" and Employee Handbook.

The physical demands of the job include potential periods of standing or walking for up to a 10-hour shift, occasional stooping or kneeling, and the ability to carry or lift up to 65 pounds. The role may also involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions with supportive company gear provided. Communication skills are essential, and while proficiency in English is required, other languages are valued. Employees will receive thorough training to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including food handler certification and health and safety protocols.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, positive, and community-oriented workplace with opportunities for growth and meaningful contribution, Dutch Bros Coffee offers an exciting career path where you can be yourself, make a difference, and enjoy the rewards of a fun and dynamic team environment.
