Job Description
Dutch Bros Coffee is more than just a coffee company; it is a vibrant and dynamic community where employees are passionate about their work and the impact they make. Founded on the principle of loving people, making a difference in the community, and providing extraordinary experiences, Dutch Bros Coffee has become synonymous with a fun-loving and energetic culture. This fast-growing beverage company values the people who power its mission, known as Broistas, who are the heart and soul of Dutch Bros’ unique culture. Broistas uphold the company’s philosophy of loving all and serving all, creating an atmosphere where teamwork, authenticity, adaptability, and positivity thrive.
As a Broista at Dutch Bros Coffee, you become part of a team that prioritizes people and relationships over mere transactions. This role goes beyond just making coffee; it’s about creating memorable moments of connection and joy for every customer. Whether greeting customers with a smile, educating them about the menu, or maintaining consistency in speed, quality, and service, Broistas are empowered to provide an exceptional customer experience. This position requires a genuine passion for people and community, the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and a positive outlook that motivates both teammates and customers alike.
Dutch Bros Coffee supports its Broistas with a comprehensive training program designed to build confidence and skills from day one. Employees benefit from an empowering work environment where they can give back through paid volunteer time, supported both physically and mentally by employee assistance programs, and are encouraged to pursue their professional development with up to $5,250 annually towards education after one year of employment. Additionally, Dutch Bros invests in its team through competitive pay (up to $16.00 per hour including average tips), a rewarding tips pool, 401(k) matching up to 4%, and the provision of Dutch Bros swag and free drinks to keep morale high. Being part of Dutch Bros Coffee means you’re joining a culture that celebrates success, fosters growth, and values every individual for who they are.
The role of a Broista entails working in frequently changing conditions, including standing for long periods, possible physical exertion such as lifting up to 65 lbs, and exposure to varying weather conditions. The job demands excellent communication skills, mathematical ability for handling cash, and adherence to company policies and safety regulations such as obtaining and maintaining a Food Handler Permit. Broistas must be punctual, reliable, and ready to contribute to a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Dutch Bros Coffee’s commitment to inclusivity and community-driven values ensures that your workplace is engaging and supportive, making it an excellent career choice for those who thrive in energetic and socially conscious environments.
