The position available is a full-time evening shift culinary associate role based at J&G Steakhouse within The Phoenician resort. This non-management position offers the opportunity to work in an inspiring and dynamic kitchen environment where quality and presentation standards are paramount. Culinary associates will benefit from Marriott's partnership with Rouxbe Cooking School, which provides engaging, self-paced online culinary training designed to enhance skills and knowledge, regardless of prior experience. Responsibilities include ingredient preparation, cooking, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and ensuring that food quality meets the resort's high standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety policies, with a supportive atmosphere aimed at career growth. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G E D equivalent
- at least 1 year of related work experience
- no supervisory experience
- ability to follow recipes and food safety protocols
- physical ability to stand walk bend and lift objects up to 25 pounds
- willingness to complete safety training and certifications
- maintain a clean and professional appearance

Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
- wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- weigh measure and mix ingredients
- prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards presentation standards and food preparation checklist
- prepare cold foods
- operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
- test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
