We are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Broiler Cook to join our highly skilled kitchen team. This role is central to the preparation and finishing of steaks, ensuring that each piece of meat is cooked to precise guest specifications ranging from rare to well-done using high-temperature broilers. The Broiler Cook plays a critical role in maintaining the quality standards and plating guidelines that Ruth's Chris Steak House is known for. This position requires a professional who can work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume, fine dining kitchen while demonstrating strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

As a Broiler Cook, you will be responsible for managing the broiler station with cleanliness and organization, collaborating closely with other kitchen staff to guarantee timely and consistent service, and adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate will have over two years of broiler or grill experience in a fine dining environment, an expert understanding of meat temperatures and doneness, and the ability to keep calm and focused under pressure. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years broiler or grill experience
  • Proven track record in a fine dining or high-volume kitchen
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to lift 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand and move continuously for up to four hours
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective sensory evaluation skills for food quality
  • Willingness to undergo background check

  • 2+ years of broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
  • Excellent understanding of meat temperatures, doneness, and steakhouse standards
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment

  • Experience in full service restaurant
