The role of the Prep Cook is essential to the smooth operation and success of the restaurant. As a Prep Cook, you will plan, prepare, set up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials, ensuring compliance with company standards. Your responsibilities include maintaining organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment, which are vital to delivering safe and delicious dishes to our guests. A successful Prep Cook thrives in a high-energy environment and contributes to a positive and respectful atmosphere among both family members and guests.
In this role, you will strive to uphold company standards of guest service at every point of contact, aiming to exceed expectations and create lasting impressions that encourage repeat business. Communication, professionalism, and ethical conduct are foundational traits we expect from every team member. You will also be entrusted with detailed knowledge about the menu, preparation methods, quality standards, and presentation to maintain the exceptional dining experience that our guests have come to love.
Your ability to stay organized, think clearly under pressure, and endure physical activity throughout the workday will support an efficient workflow. You will collaborate closely with chefs to review assignments and anticipated business levels to ensure readiness. Inspecting and maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout your shift are also key duties to help maintain kitchen operations at the highest standards. The ideal candidate has one to two years of experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- maintains complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation methods, cook time, major ingredients, quality standards, taste, the appearance of products, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and plate presentation
- ability to be well organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly when providing service to multiple guests within any given period of time
- ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work area

- maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and company standards of operation

- rectify deficiencies and maintain throughout the shift
- start prep work on items needed for menu items
- organize all of the various prep items needed from different areas to ensure that all items are in place and ready for service
