The Bridge Bar Bartender role at Omni La Mansion del Rio is an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy working in a spirited setting with a focus on customer satisfaction. In this position, bartenders are responsible for delivering prompt, courteous, and accurate beverage service to both guests and servers. The role requires a strong knowledge of various alcoholic beverages including liquors, beers, and wines, ensuring that every drink served is properly mixed and proportioned. Bartenders will also engage in upselling and suggestive selling of food and beverages to enhance the guest experience.

In addition to mixing and serving drinks, this position involves maintaining the bar’s stock and equipment by requisitioning and restocking necessary items. Bartenders must comply with all liquor liability laws, verify guests' identification to ensure alcohol is served only to patrons of legal drinking age, and monitor guest alcohol consumption to prevent service to intoxicated individuals. Delivering excellent customer service also means communicating effectively with guests and addressing any feedback or service issues promptly and positively.

This role demands physical stamina as bartenders are required to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift while lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Candidates must be able to work within a fast-paced environment, providing courteous service while actively engaging guests in conversation. Flexibility to work day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts is essential. To meet regulatory requirements, bartenders must also obtain valid Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service certifications from any of the Omni Hotels & Resorts approved providers.

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to attain a valid Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service certification from approved providers

Job Duties

  • Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks in a timely manner to guests and servers
  • Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wines
  • Upsell and suggestive sell of both food and beverage to guests
  • Requisition and restock bar with all essential products and equipment
  • Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws
  • Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is served only to those patrons of the legal drinking age
  • Monitor the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated
  • Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues
