The role of a Brewista at 7 Brew is a dynamic and rewarding position designed for individuals who thrive on creating positive connections and expertly crafting delicious drinks. Brewistas are essential members of the Brew Crew, responsible for executing the company’s mission by treating every interaction as an opportunity to build others up – whether those are customers, teammates, or vendors. Reporting directly to the stand manager, Brewistas handle a wide range of duties including taking and accurately processing drink orders using a point of sale system, preparing a diverse menu of beverages and premixed items, managing payments and change, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the coffee stand.
Brewistas are expected to bring urgency and proactive energy to their shifts, ensuring customers receive prompt and friendly service even during slower business hours. They are trained to know the menu comprehensively, enabling them to make drink recommendations that truly meet customer preferences, thereby enhancing satisfaction and loyalty. The position demands continuous personal engagement, warm smiles, and positive body language to foster genuine human connections that reflect the company’s core values.
Additionally, Brewistas support operational excellence by participating in shift change duties, adhering strictly to safety and sanitation standards, and consistently delivering their best performance by arriving prepared and dressed appropriately. Job Requirements
- Works a flexible schedule
- Works a minimum of three shifts per week
- Follows company procedure for communicating time off requests
- Regularly works weekends and is available to work holidays if necessary
Job Qualifications
- Can create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time
- Can work carefully and quickly with hot water and coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products
- Can work outside for prolonged periods, regardless of weather conditions
- Can lift up to 50 lbs
- Can stand comfortably for hours at a time
- Can climb a ladder and use a stepladder
- Can stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary to stock and clean in the stand
- Can safely walk in between and around cars in the drive-thru line
- Can safely use a utility knife
Job Duties
- Can converse with customers to confirm their drink orders and correctly key in orders to the point of sale system
- Can collect payments for orders and correctly count back any change to the customer
- Can prepare all drinks and premixes
- Must always move with urgency on the customer's time
- Stays productive and proactive throughout the entire shift even when business is slow
- Makes personal connections with customers every day through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and open and positive body language
- Knows the menu and drink offerings inside and out
- notices if a customer may not be ordering what they truly want and helps the customer identify and correctly order their desired drink offering suggestions and recommendations when appropriate
- Brings their best self to work every day and dresses appropriately for their assigned position
- Is familiar with shift change duties, checklists, and weekly chores to stay on task and execute any of them when needed
- Always clocked in and ready to work at their assigned position when their shift time begins
- Treats teammates and customers with respect and kindness
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
