The position offers flexible scheduling options, including both full-time and part-time employment, with shifts varying from 4 to 7 hours and including options for day, night, weekday, and weekend shifts. The Brewista’s duties include conversational engagement with customers to confirm and accurately process orders using the point of sale system, collecting payments and managing change accurately, and preparing all menu items including specialty drinks and premixed flavors. Upholding a sense of urgency and productivity even during slower periods is crucial to this role alongside maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and adhering to safety and sanitary standards. Brewistas are expected to develop genuine relationships with customers through warm smiles and positive body language, understand the menu deeply, and offer personalized recommendations to enhance the customer's experience. Moreover, Brewistas must be punctual, dress appropriately, and support the team by completing shift change duties, checklists, and weekly chores with dedication.

This role demands a high level of physical capability, requiring the ability to work outdoors regardless of weather, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and safely handle equipment like stepladders and utility knives. Flexibility in working schedules is essential, with requirements including a minimum of three shifts per week, weekend and holiday availability, and adherence to company protocols for time-off requests. Job Requirements

  • Works a flexible schedule
  • Works a minimum of three shifts per week
  • Follows company procedure for communicating time off requests
  • Regularly works weekends and is available to work holidays if necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Can create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time
  • Can work carefully and quickly with hot water and coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products
  • Can work outside for prolonged periods regardless of weather
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs
  • Can stand comfortably for hours at a time
  • Can climb a ladder and use a stepladder
  • Can stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary to stock and clean the stand
  • Can safely walk in between and around cars in the drive-thru line
  • Can safely use a utility knife

Job Duties

  • Converse with customers to confirm their drink orders and correctly key in orders to the point of sale system
  • Collect payments for orders and correctly count back any change to the customer
  • Prepare all drinks and premixes
  • Move with urgency on the customer’s time
  • Stay productive and proactive throughout the entire shift, even when business is slow
  • Make personal connections with customers every day through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language
  • Know the menu and drink offerings inside and out and assist customers with suggestions and recommendations
  • Bring their best self to work every day and dress appropriately for their assigned position
  • Follow shift change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed
  • Clock in and be ready to work at their assigned position when the shift begins
  • Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
