This exciting opportunity is for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Brewing Process located in San Antonio, Texas. The role is full-time within the Operations and Production area, with a salary range of $124,500.00 to $199,000.00 annually. The SME in Brewing Process will serve as a key technical authority and mentor within Constellation Brands’ breweries, providing expert guidance in all aspects of brewing operations. This includes raw material selection, fermentation, process optimization, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. The expert will lead continuous improvement projects, drive innovation through new technology implementation, and ensure sustainable and efficient brewery practices.

The SME acts as a highly skilled advisor collaborating closely with various teams including brewing, quality control, research and development, and production. They are responsible for troubleshooting complex process issues, developing standard operating procedures, mentoring staff, and supporting financial project planning through technical input. The role requires keeping up-to-date with emerging brewing technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to maintain competitive advantage and compliance.

Ideal candidates will have 12 to 15 years of experience in commercial brewing or process engineering, with advanced education such as a Bachelor’s degree in Brewing Science, Fermentation Science, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or related disciplines. Certifications from recognized brewing institutes are a plus. Strong leadership skills, problem-solving capabilities, and excellent communication are essential as the position involves mentoring junior personnel and engaging in client interactions and site inspections. A willingness to travel extensively within the US and Mexico, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, and the ability to work under physical conditions typical in brewing environments are also important for success in this role.
