This position is within the food and beverage (F&B) department of a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality establishment dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences to its guests. Such establishments are focused on providing excellent food service and high-quality customer experiences in a clean, organized environment. Job Requirements
- must tolerate prolonged periods of standing walking
- occasional kneeling bending and stooping
- must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds as needed to carry trays of food
- must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions
Job Qualifications
- food handler's permit required
- alcohol beverage service certification as required by local ordinance desired
- prior experience as a server in a restaurant café or hotel environment preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- professional appearance and positive attitude
- ability and willingness to work a varied and flexible schedule including weekends days nights and holidays
Job Duties
- greet guests promptly warmly and courteously
- take food and beverage orders accurately and provide knowledgeable recommendations when needed
- deliver orders in a timely manner and check back to ensure guest satisfaction
- anticipate guest needs and respond to requests efficiently
- maintain thorough knowledge of the menus including daily specials and preparation methods
- serve food and beverages according to company standards for presentation and timing
- monitor tables to ensure guests have everything they need throughout their dining experience
