We are currently seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team as a Cook at one of our franchise locations. This is an hourly position with a competitive pay range of $10.00 to $15.00 per hour. The Cook plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of Golden Corral's Hot Choice Buffet products by ensuring quality, tastiness, freshness, speed, cleanliness, and organization. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and take pride in delivering excellent customer experiences through meticulous food preparation and presentation.

The Cook's primary responsibility is to prepare buffet products according to specified Golden Corral recipes and procedures. This includes grilling items to perfection, ensuring that fried products are always fresh and served hot, and restocking the buffet display as needed. The Cook also plays a support role by assisting with carved meat options for guests if the Carver is unavailable and restocking at the Display Cooking Station if the Buffet Attendant is absent. In addition to food production, the Cook is responsible for operational excellence by maintaining correct food temperatures during cooking, holding, and serving stages to ensure safety and quality. Inventory management is handled through following the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and related inventory protocols, including rotation of food products using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method.

Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health standards is a crucial part of this role. The Cook ensures the Hot Cook area and all equipment are clean and sanitized. This includes checking dishes for cleanliness before use, adhering to duty rosters, complying with local health department laws, and maintaining the charcoal grill clean for sanitation purposes. Guest service is also a key aspect of the role. The Cook must always ensure the buffet products are fresh and hot, provide friendly and courteous customer interactions, and maintain professional communication.
