This full-time, non-management position provides an exciting opportunity to work as a Cook in the Food and Beverage department. The role is pivotal in ensuring the preparation of quality food items that meet the brand standards revolving around wellness, high presentation, and freshness standards. As a Cook at The Westin Galleria Dallas, your daily responsibilities will involve preparing ingredients including portioning, chopping, washing, and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables. You will be responsible for measuring and weighing ingredients accurately, mixing them, and cooking following recipe and quality guidelines to ensure each dish served is up to the standard. Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, stoves, fryers, and microwaves safely and efficiently is key within this fast-paced culinary environment. The job also entails preparing cold dishes, testing for readiness and quality, and ensuring the temperature of the food and appliances are consistently monitored for safety and optimal taste.

Maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of workstations, tools, knives, and kitchen equipment is critical to comply with health and safety regulations.
