The Breakfast Baker role at Epic presents an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about baking a wide range of freshly made goods from scratch. Working alongside a talented team of pastry chefs and bakers, you will craft artisanal products including croissants, Viennoiserie, pastries, scones, muffins, quick breads, and coffeecakes within a brand new, cutting-edge facility opened in June 2023. This position offers a blend of creativity and autonomy, allowing you to trial new recipes and master established favorites for daily menus that change regularly. You will also have the chance to showcase your skills at catered events and gradually advance into leadership roles.

Job Requirements
- two or more years baking in a professional kitchen and/or a baking and pastry arts degree
- experience with large-volume baking is a plus
- eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
- willing to relocate to Madison, WI area with relocation assistance
- available for very early morning work Monday-Friday
- COVID-19 vaccination

- two or more years of baking experience in a professional kitchen
- knowledge of large-volume baking techniques is a plus
- ability to work early morning shifts

Job Duties
- compose and scratch-bake goods like croissants, Viennoiserie, pastries, scones, quick breads, muffins, coffeecakes, and more
- work alongside culinary professionals to maintain high-quality bakery standards
- trial and develop new recipes while mastering existing menu items
- participate in catered events to showcase baking skills
- maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery workspace
- operate and maintain bakery equipment safely
- assist in inventory management and ingredient preparation
