Job Description
This job opportunity is within the hospitality industry, specifically in a hotel setting, where the role focuses on delivering exceptional service to guests in the concierge lounge. The concierge lounge serves as a premium service area designed to cater to the specialized needs of hotel guests, offering personalized attention and a variety of conveniences to make their stay memorable and effortless.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the first and lasting impressions guests have when they visit the concierge lounge. Central to your duties is warmly greeting and welcoming guests promptly within two minutes of their arrival, ensuring they feel valued and cared for from the start. You will act as the critical link between guests and various hotel departments, facilitating smooth communication and coordination. This includes making reservations for dining, spa services, or local attractions, as well as following up on any special requests guests may have to meet or exceed their expectations.
Additionally, you will maintain a comprehensive information file featuring details about the hotel’s amenities and local attractions. Your role will encompass suggestive selling of hotel services, effectively informing guests about available options that could enhance their stay. Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness are also crucial, as you will be responsible for maintaining the tidiness of the concierge lounge throughout your shift. This includes managing dirty dishes and glasses, keeping the kitchenette in order, and ensuring that floors, furniture, and surfaces remain pristine.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, which are essential for interacting with guests and coordinating with hotel staff. Job Duties
- Warmly greet and welcome guests in the concierge lounge within 2 minutes of guest arrival
- Act as a liaison between guests and hotel departments by making reservations and following up on special requests
- Maintain an information file on hotel and local services and attractions and recommend them to the guest, suggestively selling hotel amenities and services
- Clean Concierge lounge throughout the shift by picking up dirty dishes and glasses and maintaining the kitchenette, including cleaning of floors, furniture and surfaces
