The Breakfast Attendant plays a vital role within our food and beverage team. This position is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down the breakfast buffet in strict accordance with the hotel's brand standards and health department regulations. The role includes tasks such as preparing and cooking designated menu items, replenishing food supplies throughout the breakfast service, and ensuring the breakfast dining area remains clean and inviting for guests. Additionally, the Breakfast Attendant supports guest needs during the breakfast hours by answering questions and addressing concerns promptly, contributing to an overall positive guest experience.
This role requires an individual who is attentive to detail and capable of maintaining sanitary and safety standards at all times. The Breakfast Attendant must be adept at working in a fast-paced environment and able to perform closing duties efficiently at the end of each shift. Physical demands include prolonged standing and frequent lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, making physical stamina essential. Candidates must also demonstrate strong communication skills and a willingness to support teammates by performing additional tasks as necessary. Availability for weekends, holidays, and possible overtime is required, highlighting the commitment to maintaining continuous high-quality breakfast service.
Working primarily indoors within the hotel facilities, the Breakfast Attendant will be exposed to varying temperatures from coolers and freezers. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently
- Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Strong communication skills
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to follow health department regulations
Job Qualifications
- Experience with food and beverage preparation preferred but not required
- Ability to work safely with cleaning materials and maintain sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Set up and prepare the breakfast buffet area with appropriate utensils, condiments, and equipment to receive prepared menu items
- Prepare and or cook designated menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Monitor and replenish breakfast items throughout the shift to maintain full stock during service hours
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including washing and sanitizing work areas, walls, and storage areas
- Remove trash as needed
- Provide excellent guest service by answering questions and addressing concerns promptly
- Notify supervisor of inventory needs or concerns
- Complete all assigned closing duties before the end of shift
- Maintain awareness of safety and security issues and report any concerns immediately
- Demonstrate teamwork and support by performing additional duties as needed or assigned
