Job Description

The Bread Stop Bakery is a well-established, family-owned wholesale bakery located in Eugene, Oregon. Known for their artisanal approach, The Bread Stop Bakery specializes in crafting high-quality breads made from natural ingredients without any additives or preservatives. With nearly 40 years of service to the local community, this bakery has earned a solid reputation and their bread products are widely distributed across natural food grocery stores, food trucks, eateries, restaurants, and university dining halls within a 100-mile radius of Eugene. The company remains deeply committed to traditional bread-making methods, producing bread in small batches to ensure freshness, authenticity, and superior taste.

The Delivery Driver position at The Bread Stop Bakery offers a unique opportunity to be a vital part of this dedicated team. This role is essential for ensuring timely and safe delivery of their quality products to a variety of retail and wholesale customers. Delivery drivers work closely with the Bakery Office Manager and fellow team members to maintain smooth operations, provide exceptional customer service, and address customer feedback. The position emphasizes autonomy and requires a self-motivated individual with excellent math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Drivers are expected to adhere to strict safety standards, demonstrating courteous and responsible behavior on the road. The role involves active work including lifting, bending, stooping, and navigating small spaces such as kitchens and grocery store aisles. The typical work week consists of 3 to 4 days, starting early in the morning around 5:30 AM, with the length of the workday varying between 6 to 10 hours depending on delivery volume and stops. Most routes center around the Eugene/Springfield area with occasional deliveries extending to Corvallis, Salem, and Roseburg. Applicants must have a clean driving record for the past three years and be able to operate a standard cargo van, although a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required.

This role is perfect for candidates who value teamwork, dependability, and take pride in representing a beloved local brand. The Bread Stop Bakery fosters a supportive work environment that encourages employees to engage with customers positively and contribute to problem-solving efforts. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, reliable, and possess strong communication skills. Candidates interested in working for a family-operated business with a passion for supporting the local food community will find a rewarding opportunity here to grow professionally and contribute to a longstanding tradition of quality baking and community service.
