The Bread Baker will play an integral role in supporting the production of a variety of handcrafted breads and rolls. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation, mixing, scaling, shaping, and proofing of dough according to established formulas and baking schedules. The successful candidate will be proficient in operating and maintaining bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofers. They will carefully follow fermentation timelines and dough-handling techniques essential to artisan baking to ensure optimal quality and consistency in all products.
This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe work area, helping with ingredient preparation, mise en place, and thorough end-of-day cleaning routines. Additionally, the Bread Baker will contribute to packaging and labeling baked goods for both retail and wholesale distribution, ensuring all products meet the bakery's stringent quality standards. The ideal applicant will be comfortable working independently or as part of a team, showing flexibility and responsiveness to the dynamic demands of a busy bakery setting. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior high volume bread production experience
