One Off Hospitality is a prominent hospitality group in Chicago known for developing and operating some of the city's most cherished dining and drinking establishments for nearly three decades. The company prides itself on its team of chefs, hospitality veterans, managers, and creative minds who share a common belief in treating guests like family and restaurants as a welcoming home. This philosophy has helped One Off Hospitality build a strong reputation for exceptional quality, warmth, and community in the competitive food and beverage industry. The group is committed to maintaining a high standard of excellence across its venues, ensuring that each guest experience is memorable, authentic, and inviting.

Within this esteemed group, the role of Bread Baker plays a vital part in supporting and enhancing the culinary offerings, particularly in bakery production. Reporting to the Head Baker, the Bread Baker is responsible for assisting in all stages of bread production, demonstrating stamina, dedication, and a strong work ethic to meet and maintain quality standards consistently. This non-exempt position requires someone who can perform physical tasks for 8-10 hours, pay keen attention to detail, and efficiently coordinate various baking tasks independently. The Bread Baker contributes not only to production but also to sustaining a positive work atmosphere, teamwork, and adherence to the company’s safety and sanitation policies.

The Bread Baker's duties are extensive and include reviewing production schedules to determine the variety and quantities to bake, assembling supplies and equipment, completing production logs, and maintaining an awareness of food costs to meet budget goals. Communication with the Head Baker and purchasing team is essential to ensure successful inventory and equipment management. The role also demands adherence to recipes and safety guidelines, supporting cooperative team spirit, and maintaining composure under pressure. Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate business needs is crucial, as is assisting other team members and handling shift changes seamlessly.

The position places a strong emphasis on cleanliness, professionalism, and the ability to withstand allergens such as peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish, affirming One Off Hospitality's dedication to food safety and employee well-being. Physical readiness to manage equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and the capacity to stand for extended periods are necessary for success in this role. One Off Hospitality also affirms its commitment to equal opportunity employment, ensuring a discrimination-free workplace for all applicants and employees.

In summary, the Bread Baker position at One Off Hospitality offers an exciting opportunity to join a respected group where culinary excellence, hospitality, and a family-like work environment form the core of its operations.
