We are currently seeking a dedicated Server Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our guest service and involves supporting the service, bartending, and host/hostess staff. The Server Assistant helps maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation across work areas and equipment, ensuring that every aspect of the service environment meets our high standards. This position thrives on fostering a positive and energetic atmosphere that enhances the experience for both our guests and our family of employees.

Key responsibilities include maintaining comprehensive knowledge of our menu items, prices, preparation methods, and presentation standards to assist in enhancing guest interactions and supporting servers effectively. Organizational skills are crucial, as the role involves managing multiple guest service tasks simultaneously while maintaining concentration and composure in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is also essential due to frequent movement throughout the restaurant.

Compliance with all health and sanitation regulations and company operational standards is mandatory, ensuring a safe and hygienic workplace. The Server Assistant will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining cleanliness of tables and workstations, resetting tables promptly after guests depart, replenishing station supplies, and providing assistance to other staff members as needed. This role requires a proactive approach to task management and an enthusiastic commitment to contributing to a high-energy and enjoyable work environment.

Applicants should ideally have one to two years of experience or equivalent training in a similar role within the hospitality industry. However, an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Job Requirements

  • maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and procedures and service standards
  • ensure proper documentation for all accidents and incidents per company policies and procedures
  • maintain complete knowledge of property layouts table seat station numbers proper table setups room capacity hours of operation price ranges and dress codes
  • maintain complete knowledge of all menu items prices preparation methods cook time major ingredients quality standards taste the appearance of products texture serving temperature garnish and plate presentation
  • ability to be well organized maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to multiple guests within any given period of time
  • ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work area
  • ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
  • maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation health regulations and company standards of operation
  • inspect cleanliness and organization of line workstations rectify deficiencies and maintain throughout the shift
  • monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned tables
  • place additional utensils and wares on tables as directed
  • clean and reset tables immediately after the guest departs in accordance with company procedures
  • replenish ware inside stations throughout shift
  • buss tables and provide assistance to staff with guest needs

Job Qualifications

  • one to two years experience and/or training preferred
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
