The Brand Partnerships and Events Intern role at The deFIANT offers a compelling opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, brand partnerships, media relations, and influencer engagement. This internship is designed as a semester-long position, lasting 14-16 weeks, making it an ideal fit for current students or individuals eager to break into the agency world. Interns will play an essential role as an extension of the team, contributing directly to daily operations and key projects within the agency. This role allows interns to work closely with professionals in a fast-paced, creative setting where they will develop valuable skills in event coordination, partnership research, database management, and social media support.
Throughout the internship, participants will gain exposure to various facets of agency work, including the preparation and distribution of event and partnership materials, vendor research, creation of event pitch documents, and maintenance of organizational systems like Google Drive. By monitoring industry trends and updating event and partnership databases, interns will stay connected to the evolving marketing landscape. The role also involves active participation in content organization and social media posting on the agency's Instagram platform, providing essential digital marketing experience.

Job Qualifications
- Available to start ASAP
- must be available 2-3 days a week (minimum) in person
- must be in the process of earning a degree (AA, BA, MA) from an accredited two- or four-year college or university (full-time or part-time enrollment) or possess a strong desire to gain experience in this industry from working professionals
- major or concentration in communications, event management, public relations, or a related field preferred, but not required
- personal laptop required
- passion to learn about event planning, brand partnerships, and the PR industry
- excellent organizational, writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Duties
- Support the preparation and distribution of event and partnership materials
- assist in conducting research related to potential brand partnerships
- aid in planning and organizing client events, researching vendors and creating one-sheet event pitches to our clients
- help organize and manage documents via Google Drive
- monitor industry trends and update event and partnership databases
- contribute to building and updating brand partnership lists and databases
- assist in organizing and posting content on our agency's Instagram page
