Our operations encompass a broad range of logistical functions, including order pulling, stock handling, shipment preparation, and seamless coordination between branches and suppliers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible Delivery Driver and Warehouse Support Associate to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is vital to ensuring the smooth functioning of branch operations by managing deliveries, order pulling, stock handling, and other warehouse duties. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the safe and timely transportation of goods, compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and maintaining accurate trip and fuel documentation. This position also involves direct interaction with customers, providing courteous service and support both at the branch counter and during deliveries.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a hazmat endorsement and meet all DOT medical and drug-free requirements. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads are essential, as the role demands frequent handling of boxes weighing up to 105 pounds and the use of equipment like forklifts and ladders. Key responsibilities include vehicle inspections, loading and unloading shipments with proper equipment, preparing product shipments via UPS, FedEx, and common carriers, as well as managing damaged product paperwork, returns, and reclaims. Additionally, the Delivery Driver and Warehouse Support Associate must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles safely.

This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Punctuality, reliability, and a customer-focused attitude are critical components of success in this role. The work environment consists of heated store areas and unheated warehouse spaces with concrete flooring, and overtime work is mandatory during peak seasons and inventory periods. Job Requirements

  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Ability to carry at least 75 pounds
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 105 pounds for 4-5 hours daily
  • Ability to sit in, get into/out of vehicle cab for 2-3 hours daily
  • Ability to steer and drive vehicle, including shifting a standard transmission as required
  • Ability to climb ladders 2
  • Ability to use computer systems as pertains to the job
  • Ability to get along with customers and other employees, follow directions and work under pressure

Job Duties

  • Make deliveries to and pick-ups from customers, other branches/warehouses, and vendors/suppliers
  • Pull orders for customers
  • Load and unload shipments/deliveries using proper equipment
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance functions according to DOT regulations
  • Comply with all federal, state and company requirements pertaining to motor vehicle laws and accident reporting
  • Keep up daily trip logs, pre and post inspection reports, monthly fuel reports
  • Prepare product for shipment via UPS, FedEx and common carrier
  • Receive shipments from UPS, FedEx and common carrier
  • Handle and process paperwork on damaged product
  • Prepare returns and reclaims for shipment including appropriate paperwork
  • Break down and put away stock using proper equipment
  • Greet customers promptly and courteously by name if known
  • Answer telephones promptly and courteously identifying yourself and the company
  • Assist at counter as needed
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment inside and out
  • Perform related jobs as required
