The Branch Operations Associate Manager (Loan Originator) role, located within Wells Fargo's Consumer Banking and Lending division, is a pivotal position within the National Branch Network. This role focuses on leading and supervising branch teller operations, ensuring exceptional customer service delivery, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. As a leader in branch operations, the Associate Manager will provide guidance to teller teams, manage daily operations, and foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and professional development. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work most Saturdays
  • Meet CFPB qualification requirements for Loan Originators including financial responsibility, character, and background standards
  • Comply with Wells Fargo policies and ongoing regulatory requirements
  • Not eligible for Visa sponsorship

Job Qualifications

  • 2 plus years of experience assessing and meeting customer needs or issue resolution
  • 1 plus years of leadership experience
  • Leadership skills including ability to build, develop, and motivate a diverse team
  • Ability to provide strong customer service while listening and resolving complex issues
  • Experience in customer service, operations, or financial services management in a high volume and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to educate customers on technology and mobile banking options
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and use critical thinking
  • Relevant military experience including working with military protocol, personnel benefits management, or recruiting
  • Cash handling experience

Job Duties

  • Lead and supervise risk and operations of teller functions to deliver exceptional customer service and colleague experience
  • Provide feedback and present ideas for improving customer service and related performance management
  • Perform operational and customer support tasks
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging customers and building relationships
  • Manage the schedule and daily operations of the teller line
  • Make decisions and resolve issues related to teller line operations under direction of regional management
  • Leverage interpretation of regulations, policy and procedures, and audit escalation
  • Support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns
  • Collaborate and consult with branch employees, colleagues, and managers
  • Interact directly with customers
  • Coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team of direct reports
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for branch operations
  • Mentor and guide talent development and assist in hiring talent
  • Assist customers interested in dwelling secured products as a Loan Originator without taking applications or negotiating terms
