The role of Branch Manager at Banner Bank is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a branch office. The Branch Manager ensures efficient functioning across sales, operations, consumer and small business lending, and client service, while maintaining security and safety standards aligned with the bank’s objectives. The Branch Manager serves as a vital link between the bank and the local community, representing Banner Bank in community activities to boost visibility and cultivate business opportunities. Key responsibilities also include managing deposits and loan business development, coaching staff regularly through various sales engagement activities, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and government regulations. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, NMLS registration, and a minimum of 4 years in bank branch leadership along with supervisory or managerial experience. Compensation is competitive, with a targeted starting salary ranging from $73,041 to $109,562, including incentive potential. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
  • NMLS registration required
  • 4+ years of bank branch leadership and operations experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of retail bank products and policies
  • Proven client service and relationship skills
  • Effective communication and sales skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant banking laws and regulations
  • Ability to train and lead staff
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
  • Ability to manage budgets and sales targets

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel

  • Ability to train employees in client service, sales, operations, product knowledge, and consumer loans

Job Duties

  • Manage the efficient daily operations of the branch office
  • Develop new deposit and loan business
  • Provide superior client service and promote sales culture through coaching and staff motivation
  • Achieve individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals, and account retention
  • Delegate day-to-day operations to branch personnel and perform duties in their absence
  • Partner in community activities to increase bank visibility and business opportunities
  • Conduct observations and coaching sessions with sales team regularly
  • Perform outbound business calls to understand client financial needs
  • Oversee sales of consumer and business credit cards, account analysis, treasury management services, and merchant services
  • Drive branch performance during bank and division sales campaigns
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations
