The Branch Banking Management Military Apprentice role within the Consumer Banking and Lending division at Wells Fargo’s National Branch Network is a unique and strategic position designed to develop leadership skills by managing teams and driving operational excellence within branches. This apprenticeship program targets individuals with military experience, integrating structured on-the-job training, coursework, and mentorship to prepare the apprentice for a future role as an Associate Branch Manager. The role is responsible for leading diverse teams, fostering engagement, accountability, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience through effective coaching and operational management.
A crucial aspect of this role is the responsibility for the branch’s business outcomes, including managing financial and human resources, enforcing policies, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The apprentice plays an active role in branch operations, sometimes directly assisting customers with transactions to model superior service standards. This position requires adherence to the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act and ongoing compliance with related regulatory requirements, reflecting the role's involvement with mortgage-related activities. With a competitive base pay ranging from $29.00 to $62.00 per hour, this apprenticeship provides not only a pathway to career advancement but also a solid compensation package.
Wells Fargo values leadership qualities that include initiative, strong communication, and the ability to build effective customer relationships and internal partnerships. Candidates are expected to bring skills in critical thinking, time management, and use of technology, as well as a commitment to Wells Fargo’s risk and compliance culture. This role represents an exceptional opportunity for veterans and military personnel to transition their leadership and operational experience into the banking sector, supported by a nationally recognized apprenticeship program that emphasizes professional growth, integrity, and community impact.
