The Branch Banking Management Military Apprentice (SAFE) role at Wells Fargo is an exciting opportunity within the National Branch Network, part of the Consumer Banking and Lending division. This position is uniquely designed for individuals with military backgrounds who aspire to transition into leadership roles in banking with structured on-the-job training, coursework, and mentorship. As a Branch Banking Management Military Apprentice, you will be entrusted with leading and managing a team of high-performing individuals, driving business growth, fostering a culture of engagement, and ensuring operational excellence. Job Requirements
- Military experience required
- Enrollment into Wells Fargo's Department of Labor Registered Apprentice Program required
- SAFE registration at time of employment required with ongoing compliance
- 2 plus years of finance or budgetary experience or equivalent
- Ability to meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
- Ability to follow Wells Fargo's policies, procedures, and employee expectations
- Ability to undergo and pass background checks and regulatory screenings
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with strong initiative
- Ability to manage time and competing priorities
- Knowledge of risk and compliance obligations
- Proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems and applications
Job Qualifications
- 2 plus years of finance or budgetary experience or equivalent through work, training, military experience, or education
- Military experience in any branch of service
- 2 plus years of leadership experience
- Experience in customer facing military roles
- Knowledge in personnel benefits management or military recruiting
- Leadership skills including coaching and building high performing teams
- Strong relationship building with customers and partners
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated with initiative and accountability
- Ability to work collaboratively across organizational levels
- Strong time management and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with multiple computer systems and applications
- Knowledge of compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
- Experience with military protocol and leadership reporting
