Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • minimum six months intercity driving experience driving a 5-speed automatic transmission, 26-foot bobtail, or equivalent with air brakes
  • ability to be trained and take direction
  • ability to speak and read English proficiently
  • must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • valid driver’s license and clean MVR
  • possession of a Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable

Job Duties

  • Safely operate a vehicle to collect, transport and/or deliver donations, processed merchandise and other materials
  • safeguard donated goods to prevent damage during shipment
  • assist with unloading of merchandise, minimizing damage to donated materials
  • act courteously, handle customer concerns, and resolve and/or escalate when necessary
  • follow all established policies, procedures and local, county, state and federal laws
  • perform daily vehicle maintenance checks
  • ensure daily work requirements are met, maintaining quality and quantity performance
  • may be required to work overtime to complete assigned tasks
  • responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used
  • unload vehicles and move items as required
  • provide basic direction to Truck Helper, when applicable
  • maintain regular and consistent in-person attendance

  • perform other related duties, as assigned
