Job Description
Fusion Logistics, Inc is a dedicated logistics and delivery service provider specializing in timely and efficient freight and package transportation. Located in Lincoln, Rhode Island, Fusion Logistics has built a reputation for operational excellence, customer-focused services, and a commitment to reliability and professionalism. With a robust network and a clientele that relies on precise and prompt delivery, the company thrives in the competitive logistics industry by emphasizing employee development and consistent service quality. Fusion Logistics places great value on its team members, believing that exceptional logistics begin with passionate and reliable delivery personnel who are committed to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
The position offered is for delivery personnel who will be responsible for delivering specialty meats to local restaurants primarily in the Boston, MA area. This role demands individuals who are eager to contribute to a seamless delivery experience that supports both the supply chain and customer satisfaction. The role involves operating 16-foot refrigerated box trucks, with an occasional need to handle larger 24-foot vehicles, to ensure freshness and quality of goods upon delivery. Fusion Logistics requires a USDOT medical card for this role, though a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not necessary, making it accessible for many qualified candidates.
The job is full-time with an employee-based status that rewards punctuality, attentiveness, and a strong work ethic. Candidates must be capable of efficient package delivery, including the handling of items weighing up to 50 pounds. Shift schedules typically run Monday through Friday, with some Saturday work during peak periods. The average shift is around eight hours, providing a stable and predictable workweek. Importantly, the position also includes paid orientation training to ensure new hires are fully prepared to meet the job’s demands.
The compensation package starts at $21.00 per hour and includes overtime payment for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week, which highlights the company’s commitment to fair labor practices. Benefits such as paid rest breaks, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, paid time off, and a 401K plan are all part of the employment offer, underlining Fusion Logistics’ dedication to employee well-being and long-term career growth. Employees can also take advantage of direct deposit for convenient paycheck management.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where reliability, communication skills, and customer service are critical. The company also requires rigorous background checks including recent Motor Vehicle Records, criminal background screening, and drug testing, reflecting a thorough commitment to safety and compliance. Previous experience with box truck delivery is considered advantageous but not mandatory, highlighting Fusion Logistics’ openness to train individuals with potential. Overall, prospective employees looking to join Fusion Logistics will find a stable, engaging, and rewarding career opportunity where their contributions are valued and supported.
