Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent required
- hotel general manager experience required
- must be proficient in general computer knowledge, especially microsoft office products
- must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state
- requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, kneeling, or crouching
Job Qualifications
- proven experience as a general manager or similar executive role
- experience in planning and budgeting
- knowledge of business processes and functions such as finance, hr, procurement, operations
- strong analytical ability
- excellent communication skills
- outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- problem-solving aptitude
- bsc/ba in business or relevant field
- msc/ma is a plus
Job Duties
- be a change agent that is focused on ensuring all employees prioritize the guest over everything else
- oversee day-to-day operations
- design strategy and set goals for growth
- maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- manage policies and processes
- ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- direct the employee assessment process
- prepare regular reports for upper management
- ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- provide solutions to issues such as profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors
