Job Description

CHANEL is a globally renowned luxury fashion house known for its high fashion, accessories, and beauty products. Founded in 1910 by Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel, the brand has become synonymous with elegance, sophistication, and timeless style. CHANEL operates boutiques worldwide, including the prestigious Westfield UTC location in San Diego, where it offers an immersive customer experience that reflects its rich heritage and commitment to excellence. The company places great emphasis on creating an inclusive culture that nurtures personal growth and collective progress. At CHANEL, diversity is not just valued but seen as crucial to developing effective, complementary teams that drive innovation and success.

The Boutique Facilitator, Host role at CHANEL Westfield UTC is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of client service that the brand is celebrated for. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients, responsible for warmly greeting and facilitating a smooth flow of traffic within the boutique. The role requires a professional who is energetic, attentive to detail, and able to manage client expectations effectively, particularly in relation to wait times and the overall boutique experience. Beyond greeting clients, the Boutique Facilitator, Host supports the broader team by maximizing client-facing time for sales associates and assisting in various boutique operations as necessary.

Candidates for this role should possess a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and flexibility to work late nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the boutique. A keen interest in CHANEL’s history, products, and social initiatives will enrich the role, as will foreign language skills, which are preferred though not required.

This position also offers tremendous growth opportunities. The successful candidate will gain exposure to multiple boutique business functions, develop skills across various retail categories, and participate in career development workshops and self-directed learning modules. The anticipated hourly wage ranges from $24.70 to $30.00, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes wellbeing resources, generous paid time off, robust healthcare, and more.

Working at CHANEL means being part of a company that is committed to diversity, inclusion, sustainability, arts and culture, and the empowerment of women through its Fondation CHANEL. The company provides ongoing support to its employees through leadership development programs, community engagement, and opportunities for professional growth. This role is ideal for individuals eager to contribute to a prestigious brand while advancing their career within the luxury retail industry.
