The role of Manager for the Halekulani Boutique, Halekulani Bakery Retail Section, and Halepuna Retail Corner is a vital leadership position responsible for overseeing and directing the daily operations of these retail outlets. Job Requirements
- Minimum three years retail sales and/or customer service experience
- Minimum two years managerial or supervisory experience
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Liquor Commission Card
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and respond promptly
- Familiarity with all hotel services and features
- Ability to work without daily supervision
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and multitasking capability
- Ability to maintain positive customer and employee relations
- Ability to operate point-of-sale system and manual procedures
- Knowledge in inventory taking and reconciliation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Collaborate with the Boutique Director and external retail consultant to support merchandise selection, assortment planning, and seasonal buying strategies
- Oversee the buying process and maintain vendor relationships in the absence of the retail consultant
- Place and manage vendor orders using RetailPro system and prepare purchase orders
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards for brand consistency
- Maintain accurate POS and system records by updating product, pricing, and inventory information
- Coordinate and process merchandise transfers between departments efficiently
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting guests and resolving concerns
- Maintain boutique appearance and organization through cleanliness and visual order
- Analyze sales trends and performance to recommend product mix optimization
- Monitor boutique performance including sales results, inventory levels, shrink prevention, and operational efficiency
- Identify and correct pricing discrepancies promptly
- Coordinate monthly physical inventories and reconcile POS inventory counts
- Prepare and distribute sales, inventory, and performance reports
- Oversee shrink control and loss prevention efforts
- Submit accurate month-end inventory reports to Assistant Controller
- Work with Accounts Payable to ensure timely vendor invoice payments
- Provide monthly reports of top selling items to the Boutique Director and retail consultant
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies and brand standards
- Supervise, coach, and motivate retail team with ongoing training and performance feedback
- Manage staffing, labor controls, payroll, and scheduling
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required
