Job Description

Evolution Hospitality is a distinguished lifestyle management company within the Aimbridge family, specializing in elevating the guest experience across a curated collection of independent, luxury, boutique, lifestyle, and soft brand hotels throughout North America. With a clear focus on culture and results, Evolution Hospitality fosters a dynamic environment where integrity, humility, and personal growth are highly valued. The company embodies a spirit of excellence and care, reflected in its commitment to providing world-class services through a team of passionate and skilled hospitality professionals.

Located in the heart of New Orleans, the Bourbon Orleans hotel, part of the Evolution Hospitality portfolio, offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Once a high-society ballroom and later a convent, the hotel now combines Belle Epoque architecture with polished marble finishes, creating a captivating setting where history and hospitality unite. This iconic property’s atmosphere reflects the warmth and vibrancy of Louisiana culture, making it an extraordinary place for both guests and employees to experience the Crescent City’s rich heritage.

The Cook position at Evolution Hospitality’s Bourbon Orleans location is a crucial culinary role that demands creativity, leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This full-time role involves preparing and supervising food across multiple outlets including the restaurant, café, room service, employee cafeteria, and banquets. The Cook ensures that each dish not only meets rigorous standards of quality, portion control, and presentation but also delights guests with its flavor and appearance.

As a vital member of the kitchen team, the Cook leads and assists staff to maintain smooth kitchen operations, proactively resolving challenges and communicating effectively with coworkers and guests. They are expected to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, contributing to an organized and efficient kitchen environment. Beyond technical cooking skills, this role requires a proactive approach to service, anticipating needs and managing time effectively to uphold prompt and seamless food preparation and delivery.

This role is ideal for culinary professionals who thrive under pressure, bring a creative flair to their work, and possess strong leadership qualities. Preferred candidates have supervisory experience, a culinary degree or equivalent, and a minimum of five years of progressive cooking experience; those newly graduated must have at least one year of practical experience in a hotel or related setting. Food handlers certification compliant with state requirements is mandatory.

Evolution Hospitality offers a competitive benefits package to full-time employees following an initial waiting period. Benefits include daily pay options, medical, dental, and vision coverage, short- and long-term disability income, life insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. This rewarding role provides an opportunity to grow professionally within a supportive and vibrant organization dedicated to hospitality excellence.
