Job Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Minimum of five years of progressive cooking experience or a culinary graduate with at least one year of relevant experience
  • Valid food handlers certification as required by state law
  • Ability to maintain composure and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent
  • At least five years of progressive cooking experience or a culinary graduate with at least one year of experience in a hotel or related field
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Food handlers certification compliant with state requirements
  • Strong communication skills with ability to listen actively and convey solutions
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and supervise food items with precision, ensuring every dish meets high standards of quality, portioning, and presentation
  • Lead and assist kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations and consistently deliver high-quality food and service
  • Anticipate challenges and resolve issues proactively to keep kitchen operations running smoothly
  • Share information effectively and address concerns from co-workers and guests with professionalism and clarity
  • Keep the kitchen spotless and well-organized, always meeting sanitation and safety standards
  • Take initiative by anticipating needs and acting before issues arise, keeping service seamless
  • Manage time wisely to ensure food preparation and service are prompt and on point
