Swissport is a global leader in aviation services, providing an extensive range of ground handling, cargo handling, and passenger services to over 300 million passengers annually. As a trusted partner in the aviation industry, Swissport is dedicated to enhancing the customer experience by delivering consistent and tailor-made solutions worldwide. The company operates in more than 300 airports globally, focusing on safety, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery.

Swissport is renowned not only for its operational excellence but also for its commitment to its people. The company’s core values—Show You Care, Do the Right Things, and Win as a Team—define its approach to business and its workplace culture, fostering an environment where employees are empowered and respected. Swissport's comprehensive services include operating over 50 airport lounges under the brand Aspire Lounges, designed to provide travelers with a premium pre-flight experience. Aspire Lounges offer a tranquil retreat from the bustling airport environment with amenities such as comfortable seating, complimentary food and beverages, full bars, robust WiFi, showers, dedicated business areas, and more. These lounges operate 365 days a year, ensuring passengers enjoy a superior experience regardless of their travel schedule.

The current opportunity at Swissport is for a full-time Lounge Manager position with a competitive annual salary of $97,000. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Aspire Lounges. As a Lounge Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding guest experience by directing all aspects of lounge operations including staffing, profit and loss management, and maintaining operational standards. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage and support team members, optimize service delivery, and handle guest interactions to resolve any concerns that may arise.

In this position, the Lounge Manager acts as a pivotal figure in driving quality, health, safety, and environmental standards at the station to minimize employee injuries, and prevent aircraft and equipment damage. You will oversee staffing plans to guarantee adequately skilled team members are available to meet service demands and uphold Swissport's reputation for excellence. Leadership development is another critical aspect of this role, where you will identify high-potential employees and managers and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to prepare them for future leadership roles.

Additionally, the Lounge Manager is tasked with fulfilling all financial and administrative responsibilities, including payroll processing and budget management. Cultivating robust relationships with suppliers, airport authorities, and business partners enhances operational effectiveness and opens opportunities to drive traffic, sales, and return visits under a strong 4-wall mentality. The commitment to a discrimination-free, safe, and clean environment aligns with both legal and company standards, underscoring Swissport's dedication to employee and guest wellbeing.

This position requires candidates to pass TSA and FBI background checks, possess a minimum of five years of progressive management experience in a restaurant or retail setting, and demonstrate a strong business acumen with financial management capabilities. The ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as walking, standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs is essential. Fluency in English reading and writing are also required for successful communication and documentation.

Swissport also offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 401(k) matching, health insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement. These benefits reflect Swissport’s commitment to supporting the health, education, and financial security of its employees.

By joining Swissport, you become part of a diverse and inclusive team that values equal opportunity and fosters a workplace where everyone feels respected and empowered.
