Job Description

Swissport is a global leader in aviation services, providing comprehensive ground handling, cargo handling, and passenger services to over 300 million passengers each year. Operating in more than 300 airports worldwide, Swissport is dedicated to delivering consistent, tailor-made solutions that enhance the customer experience across the aviation industry. As a company, Swissport prides itself on its core values of Show You Care, Do the Right Things, and Win as a Team, which serve as the foundation for its operations and employee culture. The organization believes that its people differentiate it from the competition and prioritizes fostering a positive, inclusive work environment where all employees can thrive.

Swissport manages over 50 airport lounges globally under the brand name Aspire Lounges. These lounges provide passengers with a relaxing haven before their flights, offering comfortable seating, complimentary food and drinks, high-speed WiFi, and amenities like showers, dedicated business areas, and on-site restrooms. Aspire Lounges are open year-round from early morning to midnight, catering to travelers' needs regardless of their travel purpose. Employment with Swissport includes an expected salary of $70,000 per year for full-time roles, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with company match, and more.

The role at Swissport involves managing day-to-day operations at an Aspire Lounge location. As a Lounge Manager, the individual will be responsible for overseeing quality, health, safety, and environmental activities to ensure employee safety, as well as prevent aircraft and equipment damage. This leadership position requires managing all operational aspects including guest services, staff supervision, and profit and loss centers. The manager will frequently interact with guests to resolve complaints and ensure satisfaction while determining staffing needs to maintain excellent service standards. Leadership responsibilities extend to mentoring high-potential team members and managers through coaching and feedback, contributing to their career growth within the organization.

Administrative duties include managing financial and payroll tasks accurately and timely. The role emphasizes building strong relationships with suppliers, airport partners, and administration to support operational success. Additionally, the manager is tasked with identifying opportunities to drive sales, increase traffic, and foster repeat visits—always maintaining a 4-wall mentality. Creating a safe, clean, and discrimination-free environment in compliance with legal and company standards is also a key responsibility. This role demands physical capability including the ability to walk and stand throughout shifts, frequent bending and stooping, and the ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds.

Swissport is committed to diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusivity. All qualified applicants receive consideration regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status. Joining Swissport means becoming part of a passionate team that connects the global aviation community, providing world-class service and hospitality to travelers every day.
