The role at Swissport is centered around managing the day-to-day operations of the lounge, focusing on delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining operational excellence. As a Lounge Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of lounge functionality, including quality, health, safety, and environmental activities to minimize employee injuries and protect aircraft and equipment. This position requires strong leadership skills to supervise and support a team of hourly employees, ensuring that staffing levels meet current and anticipated demands.

Financial management is a critical component of the role, as the Lounge Manager will manage profit and loss centers, oversee budgets, and conduct financial analysis to optimize performance. The role involves frequent guest interaction to address any complaints or concerns, thereby ensuring high customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will be tasked with building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and airport authorities. Identifying opportunities to increase sales, customer traffic, and encourage repeat visits are vital priorities governed by a 4-wall mentality approach.

Job Requirements

Must be able to pass TSA and FBI background checks
Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience in restaurant or retail
Possess business acumen and ability to manage P&L, budgets and financial projections and analysis
Must be capable of performing all functions for all hourly positions
Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
Frequent bending and stooping required
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
Must be able to read and write English

Job Duties

Responsible for quality, health, safety, and environmental activities at the station with an objective of reducing employee injuries, aircraft, and equipment damage
Manage all day-to-day lounge operations with a focus on delivering a great guest experience and speed of service
Directly supervise and support all hourly team members
Manage all profit and loss centers
Frequently interact with guests
follow up on any issues and complaints they may have to ensure guest satisfaction
Determine current and future staffing needs in the lounge to ensure an adequate number of talented team members are available to deliver a great guest experience
Identify and develop high potential team members and managers to fill future openings by providing ongoing and honest feedback, coaching and development
Complete all financial and personnel / payroll related administrative duties in an accurate and timely way
Build and cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, partners and airport administration
Identify opportunities to drive sales, traffic and return visits with a 4-wall mentality
Create a safe, clean and discrimination-free environment for all managers, team members and guests by ensuring all legal and company standards are met
