The current opening is for an experienced Chef to work within a premium airport lounge environment. This role involves preparing and presenting fresh, high-quality meals on-site, ensuring an elevated dining experience for discerning travelers. As a Chef at Swissport, you will be responsible for managing daily kitchen operations including food preparation, service, and closing tasks. Job Requirements

  • Culinary training or equivalent experience
  • proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in high-volume hospitality or airport lounge environments
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • capability to train and develop team members
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume environment, such as airport lounges, hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or airport settings
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop team members with varying levels of culinary experience
  • ability to simplify processes and provide clear guidance to non-specialist staff
  • strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards
  • culinary training or equivalent experience is an asset
