The company is currently hiring for the position of a Part-time Lounge Agent, Server (21+), an exciting role within its airport lounge services team. This position is tailored for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service, capable of thriving in a fast-paced airport environment. Lounge Agents at Swissport are entrusted with welcoming guests, replenishing food and beverage stations, serving drinks, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the lounge space, all while guaranteeing a superior customer experience. This role requires flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the dynamic schedule of airline operations.

The Lounge Agent role is essential for creating a welcoming atmosphere for passengers passing through the airport lounge. Employees in this role must display exemplary interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a strong dedication to customer service. Physical stamina is equally important, as the job involves standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Previous experience in hospitality, food and beverage service, or customer service is advantageous but not mandatory, as Swissport provides a dynamic training environment to ensure successful integration.

Job Requirements

  • Lounge agents must be 21 years of age or older
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • reliable transportation to and from the airport
  • able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
  • able to be on feet during an entire shift (8-10 hrs)
  • willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to pass a 10 yr. federal background check
  • food handler’s license and responsible beverage service license or the ability to obtain

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, food and beverage or customer service preferred
  • good command of the English language both verbal and written
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • food handler’s license and responsible beverage service license or the ability to obtain
  • positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant type setting
  • professional personality and strong customer service knowledge

Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers with a smile in accordance with hospitality standards
  • replenish merchandizers and other stations with food and snacks as needed
  • regularly check the drinks stations and maintain proper stock levels
  • communicate with back of house when stock is running low
  • serve beer, wine and other beverages from our fully tendered bar
  • buss and sanitize tables, wash dishes and dispose of trash following all SOPs
  • clean and wipe down surfaces, maintain an organized lounge area, and ensure cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations
