The Boost Cafe Server at Silverado Resort is a crucial role focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience through attentive, courteous, and efficient service. With a salary of $17.00 per hour plus tips, this position is designed for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry and health-conscious dining options. The server is responsible for taking and delivering guest orders accurately, preparing health-focused drinks including smoothies and smoothie bowls according to authentic recipes, and ensuring a positive interaction that aligns with the resort's '4 Keys to Creating Guests for Life' service culture. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of the Boost Cafe menu, proficiency with the point-of-sale (P.O.S) system, and a dedication to maintaining cleanliness and organization within the workspace. In addition to the operational duties, the server must actively participate in staff training sessions and team programs, supporting the resort’s commitment to continuous improvement and staff development. Flexibility in scheduling and physical stamina are required due to the nature of the environment, which includes standing for entire shifts, lifting moderate weight, and performing routine cleaning and side-work tasks. This position not only emphasizes customer engagement but also requires adherence to safety and resort standards to ensure smooth, safe, and high-quality operations. Candidates must have certifications in Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers to comply with California laws, reinforcing the resort's commitment to health and safety standards.

Job Requirements

  • must comply with California state laws regarding responsible beverage service and food handling
  • physically able to stand during entire shift
  • capable of bending, stooping, or reaching as needed
  • capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • flexible schedule with availability for long hours
  • willing to adhere to resort standards and policies
  • able to participate in all required training sessions
  • must maintain regular attendance

Job Qualifications

  • responsible beverage service certification
  • food handlers certification
  • experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • strong communication skills

  • capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Job Duties

  • adhere to company’s service culture – 4 keys to creating guests for life
  • actively participate in team member referral program and be a talent ambassador for Silverado Resort
  • participate in all resort required meetings and trainings
  • have thorough knowledge of Boost Cafe menu and make various health drinks, smoothies, and smoothie bowls
  • be familiar with the organization of the spa
  • maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling
  • comply with resort standards and safety regulations
  • understand and apply complex information and data to meet objectives
  • maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and employees
  • have thorough knowledge of drink and food menu at the spa
  • service guests with food and beverage requirements attentively and efficiently
  • be familiar with operation of the P.O.S system
  • perform cashiering functions and prepare end of shift paperwork
  • perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to checklist
  • ensure working area is clean and organized
  • answer telephone according to standards
  • consistently upsell food, beverage, and promotional items
  • ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • abide by all resort policies and safety rules
  • perform other duties as requested by management
