As a Prep Cook, you will be an essential contributor to our kitchen operations. Your primary responsibility will focus on prepping ingredients and maintaining a highly organized and clean workspace to support the chefs and kitchen staff. Accuracy in measuring, seasoning, and portioning ingredients according to established recipes is critical to ensure every dish meets our elevated standards. Your role will also include tasks such as washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meats, maintaining ingredient stock levels, and labeling all items for easy access. Attention to detail and diligent adherence to recipes enable you to help maintain the consistency and quality our customers expect.
In addition to ingredient preparation, you will ensure that your station remains well-stocked and spotless, practicing strict food safety and sanitation procedures at all times. This role requires strong multitasking skills as you assist in general kitchen duties such as dishwashing and trash removal to keep the kitchen environment supportive and efficient. There are backup responsibilities, including setting up and monitoring the steam table during service to ensure food is at proper temperature and ready for guests. The ability to function well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and complete prep and production schedules efficiently is essential for success in this position.
