Job Qualifications
- previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar kitchen role
- knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
- strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
- good communication and teamwork abilities
- physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs multiple times
Job Duties
- prep and portioning of ingredients according to chef directions
- wash and chop vegetables and cut meats as per recipes
- stock and label ingredients systematically for easy access
- follow recipes ensuring portion control and presentation standards
- maintain a clean and organized station in compliance with food safety regulations
- provide backup support by setting up steam tables and monitoring during service
- assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and other general kitchen duties
