Job Description
Texas Pride Fuels is a reputable full-service diesel and lubricant supplier serving the oil and gas industry with a focus on providing reliable, on-site 24-hour frac services across Texas, southeast New Mexico, and Oklahoma. Known for its dedication to safety and technological advancement, Texas Pride Fuels prides itself on being a leader in fuel distribution within the energy sector. The company's mission revolves around delivering top-notch fuel solutions while maintaining uncompromising safety standards and customer satisfaction. Established with a commitment to operational excellence, the firm continuously invests in cutting-edge technology and rigorous training programs to ensure compliance with industry regulations and to uphold its reputation as champions of safety.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced commercial drivers seeking a challenging and rewarding role within a fast-paced environment. The company offers a competitive starting wage of $24 per hour, with additional compensation including time-on-job raises, overtime pay, a sign-on bonus, and per diem allowances. Employees benefit from paid training, paid time off within their first year, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options, and a 401(k) plan with company match after a year of service. The schedule is structured as two weeks on followed by one week off, demanding long hours of 70 to 80 per week, reflecting the intensity and responsibility of the role.
The role involves the transport and delivery of hazardous materials, specifically diesel fuel, using a Class B tanker bobtail. The driver will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of fuel delivery operations within the Midland market. This requires a thorough understanding of commercial driving practices, hazmat safety procedures, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Daily responsibilities include performing detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adhering strictly to DOT and OSHA standards, maintaining electronic logging device (ELD) records, and managing accurate delivery documentation.
Superior communication skills are essential, as the driver will coordinate closely with logistics partners to ensure that clients receive timely and precise deliveries. This role demands a balance of technical knowledge, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service, making it ideal for those with experience operating manual transmissions and managing hazardous material endorsements. Prospective candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the job and demonstrate reliability through background checks, drug and alcohol testing, and medical examinations.
Joining Texas Pride Fuels means becoming part of a company committed not only to operational excellence but also to the professional growth and welfare of its employees. The company's supportive work culture, comprehensive benefits, and dedication to safety create a workplace where drivers can thrive and advance their careers within the fuel transportation industry.
