Known for its unique shopping experience that combines retail with educational and conservation-oriented activities, Bass Pro Shops attracts outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. The company's dedication to environmental stewardship and community involvement further distinguishes it as a responsible and customer-focused employer.

The TMBC Boat Sales and Service Manager is a pivotal leadership role within Bass Pro Shops. This position supervises the Boat and ATV Sales and Service departments at the TMBC location, overseeing every aspect from merchandise presentation and inventory control to pricing, sales enhancements, and customer service. The manager ensures a seamless operational flow within the store, coordinating activities encompassing sales, service, warranty, rigging, delivery, detailing, and parts management. This full-time role demands a leader who is proactive in staff selection, development, training, and coaching to build a highly effective team. A fundamental responsibility of the role is to deliver world-class customer service consistently, ensuring that every customer interaction is a positive and memorable experience.

Beyond customer service, the manager plays a crucial role in achieving financial objectives including meeting or exceeding sales, service, parts, gross margin, inventory shrinkage, and payroll goals set by Bass Pro Shops. This position is vital for maintaining compliance with federal and state laws as well as company policies and procedures, ensuring the store operates with integrity and accountability. The manager administers supervisory responsibilities by interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, rewarding, disciplining employees, and resolving complaints. Planning and executing all sales plans are key to driving store performance.

Additional functions include maintaining effective product displays and inventory signage, promoting financial services programs such as White River and Bass Pro Financial Services, extended service contracts, CLUB Memberships, and customer feedback initiatives. The manager also assumes accountability for service center productivity by monitoring technician and rigger performance, scheduling and assigning all service orders, and ensuring completion with customer satisfaction. Safety, cleanliness, and security of the workspace are strictly upheld under their guidance.

This role requires a blend of management skills, technical knowledge, and interpersonal abilities, including proficiency in dealership reports, financial and legal information interpretation, and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems. Strong communication skills, team management, and leadership qualities are essential to cultivate a productive and customer-focused work environment. The position involves lifting occasionally up to 50 pounds, requires regular walking, sitting, standing, and work on computers, with some light physical demands and occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.

Bass Pro Shops values diversity and inclusion, equal opportunity employment, and provides a comprehensive benefits package to qualified employees. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, voluntary benefits, retirement savings plans, paid holidays, vacation and sick time, and special funds such as the Bass Pro Cares Fund. Employees also enjoy discounts on merchandise, restaurants, resort stays, and conservation activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about outdoor retail management and customer engagement to grow within a reputable and respected company.
