Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years in retail management
- Experience supervising sales departments
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Proficient in computer applications related to retail
- Capability to resolve conflicts and customer complaints
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Availability to open and close the store
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years in retail management with responsibility for one or more sales departments
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, and percentages
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret financial, legal, and technical information
- Ability to read and analyze reports
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, associates, customers, and the public
- Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups
- Proficiency with PC based word processing, spreadsheets, database management, electronic point of sale and inventory management systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Demonstrated use of team concept of management
Job Duties
- Support a strong commitment to world class customer service
- Ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers
- Meet or exceed all financial plans as set by the company
- Execute all sales plans as directed by the company
- Open and close the store
- Obtain "Manager on Duty" responsibilities
- Maintain planograms as set by the corporate office
- Staff departments with service oriented associates
- Participate in interviewing and selection
- Coordinate training
- Prepare and approve performance appraisals
- Recommend merit and promotional increases
- Prepare weekly work schedules
- Coach and motivate associates
- Resolve customer and associate issues
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
- Provide a legendary experience for every customer by assisting in buying decisions through needs identification and product recommendations
- Promote company programs including CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up
