- Ability to courteously and efficiently interact with guests
- Cash handling experience preferred

Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests pleasantly, quickly, and efficiently in an excellent manner
- Ensure proper service
- Ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the restaurant
- Communicate all guest opportunities/situations to management or relief personnel
- Answer phones, take reservations and coordinate reservations
- Have knowledge of all service employees' responsibilities including food servers, bus persons, and runners
- Have detailed knowledge of the facility and its amenities
- Be aware of activities in dining room including service standards, bussing of tables, station assignments, special functions, executives presence, and availability of items
- Run cash register and handle money
- Ensure employee safety
- Assist in bussing and/or resetting tables
- Remove debris from the floor as necessary
- Monitor door at all times to ensure prompt seating of guests
- Responsible for cleanliness of host/hostess stand, floors, menus, signage, and special boards
- Responsible for register bank and all money, charges, and comps collected during a shift
- Have knowledge of all check tendering methods
- Balance all checks at the end of the shift and turn in work neatly and organized
