  • Cash handling experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests pleasantly, quickly, and efficiently in an excellent manner
  • Ensure proper service
  • Ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the restaurant
  • Communicate all guest opportunities/situations to management or relief personnel
  • Answer phones, take reservations and coordinate reservations
  • Have knowledge of all service employees' responsibilities including food servers, bus persons, and runners
  • Have detailed knowledge of the facility and its amenities
  • Be aware of activities in dining room including service standards, bussing of tables, station assignments, special functions, executives presence, and availability of items
  • Run cash register and handle money
  • Ensure employee safety
  • Assist in bussing and/or resetting tables
  • Remove debris from the floor as necessary
  • Monitor door at all times to ensure prompt seating of guests
  • Responsible for cleanliness of host/hostess stand, floors, menus, signage, and special boards
  • Responsible for register bank and all money, charges, and comps collected during a shift
  • Have knowledge of all check tendering methods
  • Balance all checks at the end of the shift and turn in work neatly and organized
