Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified in Food Safety with the State of Texas or able to pass certification
  • Ability to work during regular business and program hours
  • Ability to be a positive role model
  • Ability to be patient
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to operate a vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Must be able to obtain Food Handler certification
  • Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must be able to pass agency background screens and drug screens at any time
  • Must have a satisfactory driving record and valid driver’s license for vehicle operation

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Experience driving mid to large-sized vehicles such as vans, buses, or box trucks preferred
  • Knowledge or experience with the Boys & Girls Club Movement is an advantage

Job Duties

  • Operate the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks including filling gas tank and cleaning
  • Follow assigned route and ensure timeliness
  • Pack food according to packing procedures and standards
  • Load food into the vehicle properly
  • Deliver food maintaining appropriate temperature
  • Assist with daily kitchen operations such as cleaning dishes, washing utensils, sanitizing and trash removal
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and workstations
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff
  • Adhere to all organizational health and safety policies and practices
  • Report incidents promptly and complete required documentation
  • Maintain discipline and de-escalate conflicts as necessary
  • Complete all required reports, data entry, and administrative duties on time
  • Utilize all communication tools regularly and effectively
  • Be a positive role model and represent the organization professionally
  • Ensure regular attendance and punctuality
