Job Description
GVS TM is a leader in the life sciences industry, specializing in providing innovative solutions and products dedicated to enhancing the field of transfusion medicine. As part of this dynamic and growing company, GVS TM focuses on developing cutting-edge technologies that support blood banks, hospitals, and healthcare providers in effectively managing blood collection, processing, and transfusion. With a commitment to quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction, GVS TM has established itself as a trusted partner in North America and beyond, delivering products that improve patient outcomes and streamline operations in transfusion medicine.
The Blood Bank Account Manager role at GVS TM is a strategic position designed for a professional who can foster strong and lasting relationships with key accounts within the transfusion medicine sector. This remote position requires a deep understanding of not only the commercial aspects but also the technical and operational challenges faced by customers in this specialized market. Reporting directly to the North American Commercial Director, the account manager will play a vital role in executing business strategies that aim to increase revenue, protect existing business, and optimize profit margins.
This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Regulatory, Research and Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement to ensure that customer issues are swiftly and effectively resolved. Beyond sales, the Blood Bank Account Manager is entrusted with providing technical support for the Transfusion Medicine product portfolio, facilitating new product implementations, and delivering both internal and external training sessions and customer seminars. Through these efforts, the role supports the continuous enhancement of customer knowledge and operational efficiency.
Key aspects of the role include identifying new business opportunities through upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts, as well as securing new clients through strategic development initiatives. Customers rely on the account manager to build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers such as Directors, Managers, and Supervisors in blood banks and healthcare organizations. Additionally, the manager will support the implementation of commercial strategies that ensure the successful utilization of products and sustained revenue growth.
The Blood Bank Account Manager must be highly organized and proactive, managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining professionalism under pressure. A background or strong interest in life sciences, transfusion medicine, or blood banking is preferred to best understand the technical nuances of the products and customer challenges. Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot is beneficial for maintaining updated sales records and customer interactions.
Overall, this role offers a unique opportunity to join a company at the forefront of transfusion medicine innovation, contributing directly to healthcare advancements while growing professionally in a rewarding and collaborative environment. The Blood Bank Account Manager position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, values technical expertise alongside relationship management, and seeks to make a meaningful impact in the health sciences field.
