Job Description

The hiring establishment is a well-established manufacturing facility specializing in the production and blending of raw material products primarily used in the food industry. This company prides itself on maintaining stringent quality assurance standards, ensuring that all products adhere to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines. As a pivotal part of the food production supply chain, the company commits itself to safety, accuracy, and efficiency in production processes while fostering a collaborative and supportive workplace culture.

This role is for a Blending Technician I, a vital position within the blending department, responsible for preparing raw material products according to detailed production batch records. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm, offering a competitive pay rate of $19.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment that values precision and food safety.

As a Blending Technician I, the selected candidate will be responsible for accurately blending products as per batch instructions, visually verifying materials and item numbers, recording lot numbers and quantities, and documenting blending times. The technician must strictly comply with GMP and HACCP guidelines to maintain food safety standards and ensure complete accuracy in batch documentation following Good Documentation Practices. Additional responsibilities include adhering to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), supporting general housekeeping efforts to maintain a clean environment, and helping maintain workplace safety in accordance with company and state regulations.

This position requires operational knowledge and safe handling of warehouse equipment such as manual and electric pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, sit-down forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks, with strict adherence to OSHA standards. Team collaboration and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential traits for success in this role. The Blending Technician I also performs other duties as assigned, underscoring the need for flexibility and a proactive attitude.

The ideal candidate should have experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RedZone Operations software, and handheld RF devices which are considered beneficial for enhanced job performance. Strong communication skills in English, solid math skills, and a thorough understanding of OSHA safety requirements are critical, as the role involves extensive documentation, safety protocol adherence, and teamwork in a busy workplace environment. Physical demands include the ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift, lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally perform tasks that require sitting, squatting, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.

Educationally, a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not mandatory, providing opportunities for candidates looking to grow within the industrial manufacturing sector. The Blending Technician I reports directly to the Blending Supervisor, ensuring a clear line of communication and supervision.

This employer offers a generous benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid life insurance coverage for the employee and their eligible family members, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401K retirement plan with company match, reinforcing their commitment to employee well-being and job satisfaction.
