Steuben Foods is a prominent aseptic food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Western New York, operating as a well-established family-owned business. With a proud history rooted in Western New York, Steuben Foods is dedicated to producing superior aseptic products in an environment that prioritizes safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. As a trusted name in the food manufacturing industry, the company emphasizes excellence in food safety and quality, while fostering innovation and steady growth. Steuben Foods stands as a pillar in its community, contributing both economically and socially, supporting local jobs, and advancing industry standards. The organization's culture is deeply grounded in core values such as honesty, integrity, work ethic, loyalty, and accountability, which shape the workplace environment and employee interactions.
The role at Steuben Foods is situated on the third shift, operating from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am. This position plays a critical role in the production process, particularly in the blending and cleaning-in-place (CIP) operations essential for maintaining high standards of aseptic food production. The responsibilities include performing blending preparations, operating and cleaning blending equipment, following established procedures, and ensuring meticulous record-keeping for quality assurance. Candidates for the position must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate strong math skills, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with safety and sanitation protocols. Forklift certification and the ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly are important for success in this role. Employees are expected to display strong work ethics, follow directions from supervisors, and maintain consistent attendance.
In addition to technical skills and physical capability, the role demands an individual who can adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation, and safety protocols. It requires vigilance in monitoring ingredient blends, equipment maintenance, and ensuring accuracy in paperwork. Key duties also include sampling bulk fluid deliveries, conducting pre-operation preparations, and participating in cleaning and sanitary upkeep of all equipment and blending areas. This multifaceted role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering safe and high-quality aseptic food and beverages.
Steuben Foods provides a comprehensive benefits package supporting the health and well-being of its employees. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement plans including 401K with employer match and pension, as well as disability and life insurance. Paid time off, monthly bonuses, and additional perks such as free lunch twice a week underscore the company's commitment to its workforce. The pay range for this position is $24.75 to $25.75 per hour, reflecting the specialized skills and responsibilities required.
Steuben Foods is an equal opportunity employer, promoting workplace diversity and inclusion without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, protected veteran status, or any other protected category under applicable law. This ensures a fair, supportive, and respectful work environment for all employees.
