Clorox is a leading consumer goods company committed to growth, innovation, and social responsibility. Renowned for its trusted brands and dedication to making a positive impact, Clorox focuses on improving the lives of its consumers, communities, and employees. The organization cultivates a values-based culture that supports diversity, inclusivity, and professional development, creating an environment where employees are empowered to be their best both personally and professionally. At Clorox, the teams reflect the diversity of the consumer base they serve, fostering fresh perspectives and driving innovation in a collaborative workplace where everyone feels respected and valued.
This hiring opportunity is for a Blender position at Clorox's Wheeling facility. The role is vital in ensuring the smooth and efficient blending of raw materials to supply the dry and bottled production lines. The Blender is responsible for producing high-quality, work-in-process materials that meet all specifications, while complying with food safety guidelines and adhering to strict safety and environmental standards. This person will operate on a 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM shift with a 2-2-3 schedule, which includes working two days on, two days off, then three days on during the first week and alternating days the following week. The compensation starts at $28.18 per hour with an additional $1.35 shift differential.
The Blender will perform various essential functions, such as conducting raw material and product quality checks, performing changeovers and producing products to meet packaging line schedules, completing process paperwork and data entry accurately, and promoting Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain product integrity. The role also involves troubleshooting operational issues, carrying out required maintenance and sanitation tasks, training other Blenders, and contributing to a safe and efficient production environment. This position demands excellent multi-tasking, communication, and interpersonal skills alongside the ability to make sound decisions based on available data and to carry out basic mathematical computations for batch sizes and percentages.
Joining Clorox means becoming part of a global leader in consumer products with a strong commitment to employee well-being. The company offers competitive compensation, a generous 401(k) plan in the US (and similar programs internationally), health benefits supporting both physical and mental well-being, flexible work environments depending on roles, ongoing learning and growth opportunities, and perks like half-day Fridays in some locations. Clorox emphasizes safe and legitimate recruitment practices and advises candidates to apply directly through official postings to avoid scams or unsolicited interactions. This role presents an excellent opportunity to advance a career in a reputable company that values integrity, respect, and continuous improvement.
